There's something about that red tab, perfect wash, and unmatched fit

As a self-proclaimed denim lover, there's nothing that I gravitate to more than a good looking jean — namely a pair of vintage Levi's. Despite the thousands and thousands of denim labels out there, there's only one true OG of jeans and that's good ol' pair of vintage LEVI'S.
WHY VINTAGE VS. MODERN
Let's be real. The quality and cut of modern Levi's doesn't hit quite like a vintage pair. Take for example, the ever-so-coveted '90s 501s: from the button fly to the way it enhances your bum, not to mention the to-die-for faded light wash that just gets better with every wash and wear. Scoring a really good pair of vintage denim takes a lot of effort, and once you find your dream fit, you know it was worth the search.
HOW TO SHOP FOR VINTAGE LEVI'S
Pro Tip: Know your measurements. Ask for flat waist, inseam, hip, and hem measurements to determine the right fit for you. Look for 100% cotton and styles made in the '90s. My personal favorites are 501s and 505s. Whether you prefer your true fit or like to size up, once you understand how vintage sizing works, you'll feel more confident and it’ll be easier to shop from there.
WHERE TO SHOP
Resell markets are saturated with preowned pairs. Apps like Depop, Poshmark, eBay, Etsy are filled with amazing vintage finds. Knowing your measurements and even being able to name your price makes it easy to shop. Online sites like Re/Done, Jean Genie Vintage, Denim by Orlee, and AliGrace are great sources for vintage and some even offer complimentary alterations. Lastly, don't be discouraged if it doesn't fit perfectly, head over to a tailor to have it custom fit to suit your needs.
Hope you enjoyed reading this and happy vintage shopping!
