What does the modern woman wear to walk down the aisle?

It's bridal season, baby

Wedding and engagement season has officially arrived and as today's women are valuing cost-efficient ways to exchange vows in loo of over-the-top celebrations, the same can be said about the price tag of her wedding dress. While the tradition of weddings are still cherished, spending thousands of dollars on one dress that you'll only wear for one day has become a thing of the past.

He put a ring on it, now what?

Today's savvy bride-to-be is thinking less about extravagant dresses and venues and more about how to infuse her own personal taste into her big day (without breaking the bank). If you're asking how does one achieve such a task? It starts with a minimal silhouette with a hint of your own personal flair. Add in shoes, jewelry, and accessories that speak to you and hair, nails, and makeup that enhances who you are. After all, you should look and feel like you and no one else.

The goal of your wedding day: to look and feel like you

We're seeing a lot more emerging brands that understand this ethos and cater to those discerning brides. These brides want to feel chic, sexy, and timeless on their special day without overspending. That leaves so much room for what makes the anti-bride work and the key to that is in the styling. Small details like a delicate birdcage veil or satin mules accessorized with mother-of-pearl-embellished anklets.

It's all in the details (details that don't have to cost a fortune)

Below are some gowns that I absolutely love and can see a bride-to-be making it all her own.
